Lake Erie: Boat anglers are trolling crank baits for walleye in Brest Bay, but no reports have come in. Those fishing off the Metro Park were taking some limit catches of yellow perch. The boat launch at the Metro Park has four docks in.

Lake Erie

Boats out trolling for walleye caught some nice fish with crank baits off Stony Point. The perch bite was good in 4 to 6 feet off the Metro Park.

Lake Erie & Tributaries
Steelhead catches have recently been fair to decent on the Erie tributaries. This morning's rain bumped up flows a bit on the Chautauqua County streams, while the Erie County stream flows remain level. With more rain on the way, all streams will be running high at some point this weekend. Look for the smallest streams to drop back to fishable levels first.

The is still lots of floating ice on Lake Erie, keeping open lake fishing on hold. Buffalo Boat Harbor's inner harbor remains ice covered with ice that is not safe for ice fishing. The inner harbor is often a good yellow perch spot right after ice out. Be aware, fishing in Buffalo Boat Harbor is permitted from the shore or boat only. No fishing on the docks.
