Rivercats, you can definitely get on the River ice below the dam most years. There had to be a couple hundred huts between the dam and the marina. But I would think that ice is gone now. It is hit and miss, primarily walleye. When I fished it a couple of weeks ago, no-one I talked to caught much. Last year I went there without knowing anything and got into a couple decent walleye. So they are there. I forget the name of the marina there, but they run a charter service. They can tell you if there is ice as it is right outside their door. Cheers.
