It was about time, those dams get fishing pressure right up to the walls.

They apparently put signs up on all the dams, even Dunnville. MNR said that they did it to be consistent with rest of Ontario. Hopefully they start charging anglers who are still doing it.

I could never understand why the fishermen were fishing so close to the dam.  They've done it for years.  Even at the mouth of the fish ladder, fishermen had their lines in.  The regulations are clear on this matter. If it continues, The MNRF could easily supplement their coffers.  They just have to wait for the fishermen to come to shore. Glad to see that the signs are up.

I say fine them all. Its a joke the amount of poaching and illegal activities at these so called fishing spots. Fine them! >:(
