Post by: LEO on May 16, 2018, 02:49:49 PM
Fish release caught in sloooooooooo mo 😃
Last week, students from St. James and Our Lady of Lourdes high schools in Guelph assisted MNRF and GRCA staff in the release of trout into the Grand River, just below Shand Dam.

Why the heck do they just toss them out like trash? Doesnt this shock the fish?

Yes looks rough. But apparently this is the proper way to stock fish. Just placing them all in the water slowly, makes them bunch up and become prey for herons and other predators. Throwing them gets them swimming and disperses them.
