Detroit River: Boat anglers launching from the Metro Park were fishing the cuts and canals for panfish. Shore anglers could be seen around Gibraltar. There was minimal ice coming down the river.
Lake St. Clair: Ice in the canals, launches and boat basins deteriorated with the warm weather. Shore anglers were fishing from docks or breaking holes in skim ice and catching a few perch and other panfish. Walleye are still being caught by those trolling crank baits in the southwest corner of the lake. Both the Harley Ensign and Brandenburg launches were wide open and ice-free. All other launches on the lake are susceptible to locking up overnight when temperatures are cold enough.
St. Clair River: Is wide open. There has been very little activity other than reports of a couple walleye being caught near Port Huron.
