What is everyone using to catch walleye? Trolling or jigging? First time on the river. Thanks!
-
Large jig heads 3/4 oz and 1 oz, vertical jigging with shad bodies and worms.
Follow the boats

Also this video shows the baits used and vertical jigging technique

Hey Big D are you out here today. We are pounding the eyes. Yellow jig head and purple bondy bait worm.
-
We are out here now. No walleye for us but other boats are catching them. We must be doing something wrong. LOL. Learning curve here. I think we are too slow on the hook set. Maybe real worms will work better??
-
Worms will work trolled with worm harness but most guys are v jigging and hammering them. Try braided line better sensitivity
-
It can be tricky to stay on them, they constantly move around, keep an eye on the fish finder and once you find the school, you should have no problem getting a few in the boat. On dark cloudy days use dark baits and more natural light coloured baits on sunny days. Good Luck! ;)
